The Tasmanian Liberals have won a second term majority government under Will Hodgman, as opposition parties accuse the government of “buying” the election.

Mr. Hodgman has denied the claims saying, “The only political donations we received were in the form of single unit dollar coins.”

In her concession speech, Labor leader Rebecca White did not congratulate Mr. Hodgman, saying the victory was achieved through problem voters.

“These people made up around 50 per cent of the vote,” she said.

“They can’t help themselves.”

Hodgman delivered his acceptance speech in the campaign party room, which was a little difficult to hear over the sound of high-pitched bells, falling coins, and a lot of swearing.
