NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has bolstered restrictions for the greater Sydney area by asking people more nicely to wear masks.
“We are now moving to stage-3 mask wearing restrictions where I ask people a bit more assertively to wear masks,” Berejiklian told reporters.
“We have now moved from ‘Please wear a mask’ to ‘Pretty please wear a mask’.”
The premier has warned if covid-19 cases increase over the next few days, it will be the people’s fault for not adhering to nicer rules.
“I’d like to thank our contact tracing team, health, Minister Hazzard, the backbenchers, the nurses and doctors, my current boyfriend, the SCG grounds staff, and anyone else I can think of to try to avoid answering any more questions,” Berejiklian told reporters.
“And Peta Credlin for not coming to our press conferences.”
