The manufacturer of Ambien, Sanofi-Aventis, announced the release of a new sleep aid drug that may cause side effects of non-discrimination.
Initial trials of the drug found subjects waking up with unfamiliar feelings of tolerance towards people who have different coloured skin to their own.
A significant number of users reported side effects of seeing all people as equal, open-mindedness, and an acceptance of different cultures.
“I’ve never felt this way towards Barack Obama, I’m finding myself thinking about his ideals rather than the way he looks,” said one participant.
Four per cent of users in the study showed more serious side effects, including signs of philanthropy, with one participant giving away their own money to an overseas charity.
“After I stopped taking the drugs, I wanted my money back.”
