Acting Prime Minister Michael McCormack sparked controversy on Monday by expressing sympathy for the attempted coup d’etat staged against the U.S. government last week.
McCormack doubled down on Tuesday claiming “Blackshirt lives matter”.
“Any act of violence whether it be by a fascist putsch or by opportunists looting during racial equality protests should be condemned,” said McCormack.
“But blackshirt lives matter and viking freaks wearing horn hats lives matter too.”
McCormack told ABC News Breakfast on Tuesday that you need to have a go to get a go.
“If you want to stage some sort of Nazi-style government overthrow, you’ll get a go, and support from the far right,” said McCormack.
McCormack is currently acting as Prime Minister with Scott Morrison taking a vacation from his break from parliament.
