A local resident of Bundaberg in Queensland has made the move to the Dickson electorate for an impromptu run against Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton at the next general election.
“I might as well have a crack,” says 39-year-old Trevor Jones.
“I’m going to run as an independent.”
Trevor is renting out a small one-bedroom apartment on the outskirts of Brisbane.
Current projections have Dutton 44, Trevor 56 on a two party preferred basis.
Trevor is leading by 14 points after preferences.
