Former Australia vice-captain David Warner has apologised for taking no responsibility for his role in the press conference after taking advice from lawyers.

“I’m sorry for taking no responsibility for my part in this press conference,” Warner told reporters wiping water from his eyes.

When asked if any other player other than Steve Smith or Cameron Bancroft was involved in the ball-tampering plot Warner refused to answer the question answering, “I’m sorry for taking no responsibility for my part in this press conference”.

The press conference ended with one journalist asking Warner what he will be having for dinner this evening.

Warner responded by saying, “I’m sorry for taking no responsibility for my part in this press conference”.
