American whistleblower and activist Chelsea Manning had her visa application denied by the Australian government on the grounds of having “a pair”.
The Morning Squire understands the Australian government is refusing entry to Manning who spent seven years behind bars for sending classified military documents to WikiLeaks exposing criminal activity.
“You must be an au pair, it’s not good enough just having a pair,” says the newly installed Immigration Minister, David Coleman.
“Free speech doesn’t apply to having the balls to expose war crimes.”
The New Zealand centre-right National Party is also lobbying for Manning to be banned from their country.
“You can’t just dump thousands of classified documents exposing illegal activities taking place in an illegal war,” said the National’s immigration spokesperson Michael Woodhouse.
“You have to specify which war crime you are exposing.”
