The banking royal commission heard on Tuesday that NAB had provided customers with the option to opt-out of getting hustled.
“Our customers were given the opportunity to opt-out of our fees-for-no-service service,” NAB executive Paul Carter told the commission.
“If they asked the right questions.”
NAB also revealed they had withheld information from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) so they wouldn’t come off looking the worst out of the big four banks.
“It was important that we went through the proper processes,” said Carter.
“The processes we had processed so we could delay the final process.”
